Steps
- 1
Copy the full passage
Detectors work better on longer text. Use at least a few paragraphs if you have them.
- 2
Paste it into an AI checker
In TextHumanizer, tap Paste Text and then Check for AI.
- 3
Read the AI percentage
The ring shows how likely the passage is to be read as machine-written. Higher means more predictable text.
- 4
Confirm with a manual read
Look for the signs below in the sentences that feel flattest. They are usually the ones pushing the score up.
What an AI detection score means
An AI score of 72% does not mean 72% of the words came from ChatGPT. It means the detector thinks the text, taken as a whole, looks a lot like the machine-written samples it was trained on.
That difference matters. A paragraph you wrote yourself can score high if it is formal and predictable, and a lightly edited AI paragraph can score low. Use the number to decide where to look, then read.
Four signs text was written by AI
Even rhythm. Sentence after sentence of about the same length, each with a similar structure. People speed up and slow down.
Stock connectors. "Furthermore", "Moreover", "In today's fast-paced world", "It is worth noting". One is normal. Five in a page is a pattern.
Confident vagueness. Claims like "studies show" or "experts agree" with no study and no expert named.
No lived detail. AI drafts rarely mention a specific place, date, person or mistake, because the model has none to draw on.

If you used AI anywhere in your process, check the final version yourself before anyone else does. It is easier to fix a flat paragraph now than to explain it later.
TextHumanizer puts the checker and the humanizer on one screen. Check the score, humanize the stiff parts, then check again. The card shows both numbers side by side so you can see what changed.
When the score is wrong
Detectors produce false positives. Research from Stanford in 2023 found that several popular detectors labelled more than half of a set of essays by non-native English speakers as AI-written. If your own work scores high, that is not proof you used AI.
Keep your drafts, notes and version history. Those show how a piece developed, and they carry more weight than any detector score.
Questions
How accurate are AI checkers?
Accuracy varies a lot between tools and types of writing. They tend to catch raw, unedited AI text and struggle with mixed or edited text, and they can wrongly flag human writing.
How long does text need to be for an AI check?
Longer is better. A single sentence gives a detector very little to go on. Several paragraphs give a much more stable score.
